Robot Kreatif: Hugging Robot

Entertaining Robots are robots that have no real useful application. They’re build for fun and practice but little else more. Most homebuilt robots would fall in this category.
They can be simple robots that use simple sensors (light sensor, sound, bumper switches) and have simple behavior, but they could as well have complex sensors and extensive programming.
One other category of robots that’s very close related to this category are robot build as “tech-demos”. For example the Asimo robot.
Entertaining robot i suggested is a Kisi kisu robot. It can sing, hug, and do things that can make someone happy.
Kisukisu Robot has 21 or 25 degrees of freedom (DoF). It’s feature with inertial measurement unit with accelerometer, gyrometer and four ultrasonic sensors that provide The Robot with stability and positioning within space. The legged versions included eight force-sensing resistors and two bumpers.
The Robot also features an onboard Linux-powered multimedia system, including four microphones (for voice recognition and sound localization), two speakers (for text-to-speech synthesis) and two HD cameras (for computer vision, including facial and shape recognition). The robot comes with a software suite that includes a graphical programming tool (“Choregraphe”), simulation software and a software developer’s kit. It is also compatible with the Microsoft Robotics Studio, Cyberbotics Webots, and the Gostai Urbi Studio.
This robot moves automatically and can hug people with any size if they say “hug me”. It will hug until the person it hugged smile. It gives warm feeling and release “happy substances” so the person hugged will feel warm and loved.
The price needed to make this robot is approximately 30-50 million rupiahs.
I hope this robot will entertain those who miss their families and significant others :D
